Week 37
Weight gained: ~30lbs/13.5kg
Feeling: Sweaty
Baby stats: ~19-20", ~6.5lbs
This past week I reached what is considered "full term". Which means, at this point labour can happen at any time. Any time! What an exciting and scary thought! The hospital bags are packed and we've briefly gone through the 'what happens when I go into labour" routine with the parents. Also, our baby seat is now installed and our car is officially a family car. So the next few weeks we'll be playing the waiting game. Today is actually the 1st day of Week 38, and my expected due date is exactly 2 weeks away, so we'll see how accurate that works out to be.Today was also my last day of work--I'm officially done! Wu hoo! Tomorrow is the day before my mom arrives, so I will probably spend a few hours cleaning up the house and doing laundry, sleeping, surfing the web, watching the tube, and trying to book a place for dinner. Tomorrow night will be the last night that Vincent and I will have together with just the two of us, so we're going to celebrate with a date out. I'm excited!
Well, I've been "tagged" by sweetlittletreat to reveal 5 things about myself I haven't blogged about yet... hmm...
1. I can't function without having breakfast each morning. Since I've been pregnant, I can't function without having 3 breakfasts each morning.
2. My hubby Vincent was my first kiss and my first love. And he will be my only love!
3. Pigs, the 80s, keeping an organized house, the word "babe", and my hubby are just a few things I'm obsessed with.
4. I didn't use to think I was, but now I've come to accept that I am a very picky eater. For example, I like peanut butter, but I don't like nuts. I love strawberries, but I don't like strawberry ice cream. I love cake and muffins and cookies, but I don't like icing, creams, and mousses. I love hot cocoa, but I can't stand the foam on top of it. I prefer hot water anytime over cold water. And the list goes on!
5. Baby Wu was not planned, but not exactly prevented. In any case, she is the best blessing we could ever ask for and we can't wait to meet her!
Unfortunately I have no food to post about this week, but here is a photo of my now veiny hands and sausage fingers from all the heat and swelling recently. Sorry to gross you out, but it's mainly for my own documenting purposes. In real life, my hands look like they belong to an 80 year old. Sigh.

Yuck!

woohoo! the countdown begins!! :)
Hey babe...yeepee!!! hip hip hooray! congrats on being full term. it's the official countdown! you must be so excited. enjoy! savor the little kicks and punches in your stomach. you may still feel some after she comes out, but it's really your uterus contracting! btw, is your babe going to be a doggy or a piggy? CNY is Feb 18, but then they say that once spring in the Chinese calendar begins (i.e. Feb 4), the babe is a pig! you may have a piggy another reason for you to be obsessed with your babe!!!
yippityskippity!!! cant wait! say hi to mama chiang for me.
"it's the final countdown!" you should play that from now until piglet arrives. it'll make the time that much more exciting!
no food pics is okay since you put up a picture of a body part that looks like food.
