Week 34

Weight gained: 26lbs/12kg
Feeling: BIG
Baby stats: ~18, ~4.5lbs

Happy 2007! I can't believe it's another year. I realized that I didn't look as huge in my photos because I cut off my shoulders and butt, and I look a lot bigger than when you see my belly compared to the rest of my body. So I've put up a more expanded photo this week.

Last Friday Vincent and I celebrated our 10 Year Anniversary of our first meeting! Surprisingly, we haven't changed all too much in 10 years... maybe it's a sign that we need to update our look!

Way back then...

and now!

I can't believe 10 years have already passed... it's almost unbelievable to me that time flies so quickly. Who would've known that after 9 years of knowing Vincent we'd be married? And after 10 years I'd be carrying his baby? How crazy, unpredictable, and fabulous life can be sometimes! I thank God each and every day for all of the blessings he has given us.

Ok so I promised last time that this post wouldn't be about food, but I lied. Last minute we decided to have a New Year's bbq and what started with a simple bbq ended up in a feast. I missed photos of a plate of fat sausages and a bowl of salad, but that's also because there was little left by the time I pulled the camera out.

(clockwise from top left) ribs, chicken wings/chicken satays/king prawns/skinny sausages, baked onion rings (I found a great and easy non-fried recipe), Korean beef

(clockwise) Vincent's famous prawn fried rice, potato and egg salad, huge-mongous lychees (almost the size of eggs!), Lebanese bread w/ tabouli and very potent garlic spread (mm!)

Needless to say we ate well and again I was stuffed. Thank goodness there are no more big celebrations coming up since it's hard to control what I eat now and a lot of times I just devour whatever is in front of me. In the States, having a bbq means heading to Costco and picking up some hot dogs, frozen meat patties, lots of buns, and a huge watermelon. A great thing about bbqs in Oz is that everything is fresh and you have a wide variety of food. Another New Year's celebration filled with delicious food, great people, and good fun. : )
